Stephen, in his tenure as Head of Drama at BBC Northern Ireland, commissioned and was the executive producer for the BBC on Line of Duty, written by Jed Mercurio. He also commissioned and executive produced the BAFTA and IFTA-winning series The Fall with Gillian Anderson and also starring Jamie Dornan, written by Allan Cubitt. With Guy Hibbert, he developed and executive produced the feature film Eye in the Sky directed by Gavin Hood, starring Helen Mirren. He was also a Producer on the BAFTA, IFTA, and RTS award-winning, factually based drama Five Minutes of Heaven written by Guy Hibbert and directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel, starring Liam Neeson and James Nesbitt.
At Two Cities TV, Stephen co-created and executive produced Blue Lights (6x60’) for BBC One and BBC iPlayer, an original police procedural series set in Belfast, which was co-created and written by Declan Lawn and Adam Patterson, and co-created and executive produced by Louise Gallagher for Gallagher Films. The Series was directed by Gilles Bannier and stars an ensemble cast including Siân Brooke, Katherine Devlin, and Nathan Braniff, with Martin McCann, John Lynch, and Richard Dormer.
Stephen Executive Produced Series 2 of BLUE LIGHTS, which aired on BBC One in April 2024. Alongside Michael, he is also Executive Producer of AMADEUS (5x60’) for Sky and written by Joe Barton.
